By the end of the Preparatory Stage, students develop stronger learning abilities, improved communication skills, and greater confidence. This stage prepares them for deeper academic learning and responsibility in the next level of schooling.
“Strengthening Concepts, Expanding Horizons”
(Classes III – V)
The Preparatory Stage marks the transition from play-based learning to structured academic engagement. As envisioned in NEP 2020, this phase strengthens conceptual clarity while maintaining creativity and curiosity.
During the academic year, students in Classes III to V at R.C.C.E. Public School strengthen their foundational knowledge while gradually developing independent learning habits. At this stage, learning becomes more structured and encourages students to understand concepts clearly, ask questions, and apply their knowledge in practical situations.
Students are introduced to a broader range of subjects that help them build language proficiency, logical thinking, basic scientific understanding, environmental awareness, and digital literacy. The focus is on improving reading, writing, observation, communication, and problem-solving skills that support their academic growth.
Along with classroom learning, students participate in various co-curricular activities such as creative activities, group projects, cultural programs, and physical education. These activities encourage creativity, teamwork, and active participation.
Teachers carefully observe students during both academic and activity-based learning to identify their individual interests and strengths. Once a particular talent or skill is recognized, students are encouraged and guided through different activities that help them develop confidence and build their personality.
By the end of the Preparatory Stage, students develop stronger learning abilities, improved communication skills, and greater confidence. This stage prepares them for deeper academic learning and responsibility in the next level of schooling.
